What is now called "La Vecchia Cartiera" (The Old Paper-mill) was a valuable paper factory active since 1200. The old structure, centrally located in Colle Val d'Elsa, has become a pleasant hotel after careful refurbishing. The facade, characterised by harmonious arched windows, evidences the architectural traits of the paper-mills of that time.
